With this instruction and others, the Illinois Conference has established a Youth + Young Adult Ministry that will:

Lead youth to understand their individual worth and discover and develop their spiritual gifts and abilities,
Equip and empower youth for a life of service within Christ's church and the community, and
Ensure the integration of youth into all aspects of church life and leadership.

These goals are achieved by incorporating the biblical dynamics of outreach, fellowship, nurture, worship, and mission. Opportunities for youth to come together to realize their value and learn useful skills to express their God-given gifts are offered during retreats and mission projects held each year.
